What is Ayurveda? 

Ayurveda is one of the oldest holistic approaches to medicine in the world. It combines dietary suggestions, lifestyle choices, ayurvedic herbs, and meditations to create an environment where the body can maximize its own innate healing intelligence. 

Rather than focusing on symptoms, Ayurveda helps the individual establish patterns of living, sleeping, eating, and thinking that promote longevity and good health so symptoms are less likely to occur. Ayurveda seeks to create an environment where disease cannot get a food hold, rather than trying to deal with the symptoms of disease after the fact. 

What to Expect During Your Initial Ayurveda Consultation

During your initial Ayurvedic Consultation, we will study your body-type, life-long patterns of digestion, sleep, and psychology (and more) to conduct a proper ayurvedic evaluation and analysis.  From there we will determine your Ayurvedic Constitution. 

Once we know your personal constitution, we will suggest diet, herbs, exercise, and lifestyle choices that will be most supportive for you as an individual.
